DROMEY
Life hasn’t turned out the way I imagined, but along the way I’ve discovered the power of creating with my hands and the hope that can be stitched into something simple.

MY JOURNEY
has been shaped by loss, anxiety, depression, child loss, trauma, and the challenges of being a single mom. Along the way, I’ve found new life, hope, and healing—through connection, moving forward, and working through my struggles. I’m now remarried and continue to embrace the healing process as I navigate each day.
Quilting became a way for me to hold on to hope and remind myself, and others, that our stories matter.
I CREATED A JOURNEY SEW REAL
to share hope. My quilt patterns are designed with real life in mind—mostly beginner-friendly, throw-size quilts that can be finished even in the middle of hard seasons. Each design comes from a piece of my own story, and my hope is that others will see their own reflections in them.
This brand is about more than fabric and thread—it’s about connection. I want to create a community where people who are walking through life’s trenches know they are not alone, and where every story is honored.

THE VISION
At its heart, A Journey Sew Real is about stitching hope back into broken places. Through quilt patterns and shared stories I want people to feel encouraged to keep going, even when life looks nothing like they planned.
Because your story matters. And sometimes, with enough courage and stitches of hope, it just might turn out beautiful.

THE BROKEN HEART
THE STAR
THE SUN
THE TULIP
The broken heart represents the beginning — the rupture, the loss, the moment when life no longer looks the same. It’s the season of pain, confusion, and deep ache. In this stage, things feel fragile and undone. For A Journey Sew Real, the broken heart isn’t something to hide or rush past. It’s acknowledged, honored, and held with compassion. This is where the story starts — not in perfection, but in the real, raw truth of what hurts.
The star is the next step — a flicker of light in the midst of deep darkness. It’s the late-night moment when something small begins to remind you that hope still exists, even if it feels far away. For this brand, the star represents creative sparks, kind words, and quiet reminders that healing doesn’t happen all at once. It’s the moment you reach for thread or fabric — not to fix everything, but to make space for meaning. The star is guidance in the dark — gentle, steady, and just enough to help you take the next step.
The sun represents the shift — when warmth slowly starts to seep back in. It doesn’t mean everything is easy, but it does mean something has softened. The sun is about choosing to keep going, to let the light touch what’s been hidden, to start creating again with more clarity and intention. In A Journey Sew Real, the sun symbolizes hope that’s been earned — not naïve or shallow, but built from showing up day after day. It’s light that finds you when you’re ready to receive
The tulip is the final symbol — not of an ending, but of a new beginning. It’s the quiet, powerful moment when beauty begins to grow from what was broken. The tulip doesn’t rush, doesn’t need applause — it simply rises, blooming in its own time. For this brand, the tulip is the embodiment of healing — soft, sacred, and strong. It reminds us that growth is still possible, that joy can return, and that something beautiful can bloom from the hardest parts of our stories.
